I was lucky enough this year at Burning Man to be part of two families – first of all the phenomenal Lost Tea Party about whom I will blog in the next week and also the remarkable Thievery Corporation, who gave it all on the Robot Heart stage to a massive crowd that couldn’t stop dancing.
I’ve shot most of Thievery Corporations images for the last ten years and consider myself fortunate to have become a member of this amazing family of musicians. They performed for the first time at Burning Man this year and played an awesome show on Thursday evening at the Robot Heart stage. On Saturday night some of them came to join the Lost Tea Party and watched the burning of the man from within one of the teapots. Given how much they enjoyed themselves, I suspect Thievery will be returning to Burning Man.
