Gralbum is an iPad app that lets musicians add interactive storytelling elements to their records and has the potential to change the way we view music. Founded and curated by Lou Reed collaborator Sarth Calhoun, the Gralbum Collective launched their app with a listening and viewing party on Tuesday night at the Soho Arthouse aka Soho Gallery For Digital Art. As well as the impressive Gralbums on display, attendees were also treated to performances by Beatboxer Adam Matta, Site Specific Performance Artist/Musician Bora Yoon and Gralbum founder Sarth Calhoun. If you are a musician you should definitely check out this innovative way to expand your listeners experience and if you are a listener you should definitely look at this as an opportunity to engage with music in an exciting new way.
