Late last week I finally got to see some friends of mine play a show at Piano’s in the Lower East Side. HeaveN was formed in the bowels of Brooklyn a couple of years ago by Matt Sumrow (The Comas, Dean and Britta, Ambulance LTD), Mikey Jones (The Big Sleep, Snowden, Swervedriver), and Ryan Lee Dunlap (Fan-Tan).

They create a cool sonic palette with a lean in a shoegaze direction. Check out their superb music on myspace and if you get a chance, go see them. You won’t be disappointed.  These pictures were taken on my iPhone 4S. They are releasing their debut album in the New Year and I will probably be doing a shoot with them sometime in the next few weeks, so will post more pictures and info then.
